Road Trips to See the Best Fall Foliage

It’s almost officially my favorite season!  When the leaves start turning, I need sweaters to even leave the house, and a warm drink in my hand.  There’s nothing I love more than hopping in the car and driving through the mountains to see all the beautiful colors.  Below are the top rated fall road trips to take this year to see the beautiful autumn colors.  For any accommodations you need, head on over to our Interactive Hotel Map to find a hotel that matches your price point and travel needs.

1. Vermont

Vermont is a beautiful state in all seasons, but the colors you will see there in the autumn is breathtaking.  The picture below is of a little town called Montpelier and it’s as adorable as it looks in this picture.  Below are the top places to add to your bucket list for a Vermont road trip:

2. Virginia & North Carolina

Virgina is another New England state that gets gorgeous colors in the fall.  If you drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway from Virginia to North Carolina, it’s about 470 miles, but the scenery will be worth it.  Here are the main areas to grab a great picture:
